When you’re in conflict with your partner, it can feel like hard work.
When you each have different feelings or opinions about something, you can push against each other, going round and round in circles, repeating the same conflict cycles.
Ultimately, you can feel stuck.
It’s because you’re both resisting.
But have you ever looked at a waterfall, and been inspired by how effortless it appears to be?
There is no stuckness or resistance in a waterfall.
The water just naturally flows from higher ground to lower ground, falling and cascading over the edge, spilling into a still, calm pool below.
This teaches us that sometimes it’s better to just go with the flow, rather than resisting. Allowing your partner’s feelings to exist with your own, and rather than each of you sticking to your individual agendas, just communicating openly and seeing where it takes you.
You might just find that you end up together in a calm pool of resolution and serenity.
