It’s here! Today is the Spring Equinox which marks the official start of Spring – the season most associated with transformation, hope and fertility!
We have already started to notice lighter mornings and evenings – doesn’t it make it feel so much nicer to leave for work when it’s light and to come home and still have a couple of hours of daylight left?
We can notice new flowers growing – the daffodils and crocuses have been out now for a few weeks, brightening the landscape in gorgeous splashes of yellow and purple clusters.
The beginnings of new life are all around us.
And it’s got me thinking.
Now that Spring is here, why not let it teach you to breathe new life in to your relationship?
It’s really common for us to allow our relationships to trundle on, both partners getting on with our daily lives and routines, without thinking too much about where we are trundling to.
The problem with that is that we can lose sight of where we want to be, and what sort of relationship we want to have. In fact, quite often, when you are just getting on with things, annoyances can build up and become resentments over time.
But nothing in Nature ever stays static for long. Spring teaches us beautifully that growth and change can be exciting.
So how different would It be if you were to stop for a moment and both review your relationship?
The couples who take the time to set a relationship vision, and review it regularly, have much happier relationships.
At least that’s what they tell me. And that is what I have seen and experienced both in my work as a Relationship Coach and through personal experience.
Perhaps the idea of reviewing your relationship and bringing up potential issues worries you? Perhaps you are worried about upsetting your partner if you mention something that bothers you?
This is a very common anxiety with couples. But the good news is, there are ways of communicating that will allow you to say how you feel, whilst being kind to your partner, and reducing the likelihood of them feeling defensive, enabling them to be more open and willing to listen. If you would like extra guidance on this, you are more than welcome to download my FREE Communication Guide by clicking on the following link:-
