The other night, after a busy clinic of relationship coaching clients, I was driving home in the dark, and as I wound through the country lanes I came upon patches of freezing fog. I could barely see 5 feet in front of me, and it was quite scary.
It can be more difficult to see in Winter, for a number of reasons. When it snows heavily it can obscure what’s in front of you. It’s darker at each end of the day, with less available light. Even the Winter sun, when it breaks through, is lower in the sky and blinding in its intensity.
Sometimes, it seems that no matter what you do, you can’t see a clear way through your relationship challenges. You just can’t find a solution, or an answer. You keep having the same arguments, over and over again. It can feel like phases like this will go on forever!
Fortunately, just like the seasons, this phase is temporary. You’ll move through this and into clarity and hope.
You can do this together.
But first, you have to recognise it’s happening.
And sometimes you need the help of an expert to guide you through the more challenging season.
