The New Year is almost upon us.
As we move into the New Year, we often start to reflect and make resolutions. Things that we’ll start doing/stop doing/do better/do differently.
Sometimes those changes last, sometimes they don’t. So what’s the difference between those changes that last and those that don’t?
The answer is depth.
When we make changes on the surface, they are more fragile, less rooted inside of us, and more prone to external influences.
It’s when we go deep within ourselves and seek out our inner truths, that change can really take place in our foundations.
To do this you need to be honest with yourself.
- Are you being open with your partner about your emotions?
- Are you being the best partner you could be?
- What really stops you?
- Are you being kind to yourself?
- If not, why not?
Going within can be scary, because it can unlock many buried emotions, not all of them pleasant or easy to handle.
It might mean that difficult conversations have to take place, or big changes in your relationship.
But the emotions are the truths that we seek to discover. They are the key to everything. Even though difficult, your emotions are the gold you will find.
The Earth contains the most beautiful crystals in its deepest caves. We would never know they were there had we never ventured in.
